Word Studies
Scripture is patient with us, so we mean to be patient with it. Here we take one word at a time, the kind that carries more than any English word can hold, and we follow it where it lives: back through the whole of the Bible, down to its root in the Hebrew or the Greek, and on to Christ, where every word of God finally comes to rest. The aim is never knowledge for its own sake. It is worship. A word rightly understood is a window, and the light that comes through it is meant to fall on your knees.
